It Takes A Village

Working alone, nothing in this world would ever change. Thankfully, the IM community is ready to work together to bring about the change we want to see. Below are some of our recent activities - thanks to all who participated!

IM's leadership team and member volunteers have been busy over the last month, starting with the members' meeting with Duval Dems' Chair, Daniel Henry. We were so pleased that he could spend some time with us during this very busy election season. Daniel provided plenty of current, actionable information, and answered audience questions. Thanks again!

Next, IM hosted new and seasoned members for a Let's Get Acquainted meeting on Sept. 27th. In addition to socializing, the leadership team provided information on the many ways our members can engage with the election to make a difference here in Florida and nationally. And, considering Hurricane Helene was making her presence felt, we had a terrific turnout of enthusiastic members!

We'd like to give a tremendous "shout out" to River Garden Hebrew Home for allowing us to use their beautiful facilities at the very last minute when Hurricane Helene closed the our meeting room at the Mandarin Library. Interestingly, that very same day Newsweek announced that it was naming River Garden the number one nursing home in Florida! A great big THANK YOU also goes out to their administration and staff who were so friendly and helpful!

Next, it was time for Postcards At Panera! Our dedicated postcard writers were back in action to help Get Out The Vote for Harris/Walz. Thanks to all who showed up!
